SLIO CPU 017 is a very powerful Profinet CPU from VIPA. The CPU has built-in dual PROFINET controllers (switch). It has an integrated working memory of 512 kB, which is also expandable to 2MB. Double PG/OP ports (switch) over Ethernet and MPI are standard. The CPU 017 can also be configured as Profibus master or Profibus slave with a special FSC (Feature Sets Code) on an SD card. Another clever feature is that, it also can be set up as a Modbus master or Modbus slave.
